Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Service Technician to join our team, providing essential maintenance, repair, and support for a range of equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, be comfortable working with various tools and schematics, and deliver exceptional customer service. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise within a dynamic environment, ensuring the smooth operation of our clients’ equipment and infrastructure.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
Diagnose faults using schematics and technical manuals, then execute repairs efficiently
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble, disassemble, and repair components
Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large or cumbersome parts or machinery
Carry out equipment repairs including mechanical adjustments, replacements, and welding as required
Assist with installation and assembly of new systems or machinery at client sites
Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, and parts utilised
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and ensuring client satisfaction

Skills

Proficient in reading schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes
Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in assembly, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in accordance with health & safety standards
Experience in equipment repair and general maintenance tasks
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
Capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
Organised with good attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation of work carried out
