Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. As an MOT Tester, you will play a crucial role in maintaining road safety and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles in accordance with legal standards and regulations.
Perform comprehensive inspections, including checking brakes, lights, steering, suspension, and emissions.
Identify any defects or issues that may require repair or further investigation.
Complete necessary documentation accurately and promptly.
Communicate findings to customers clearly and professionally, providing recommendations for repairs if needed.
Maintain testing equipment and tools in good working condition.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

Skills

Proficient in heavy lifting as required during vehicle inspections and repairs.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively.
Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to work.
Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
