Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our professional pet care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of dog breeds, ensuring each pet looks and feels their best. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment where animal welfare and customer satisfaction are our top priorities.

Duties

Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs to maintain cleanliness and coat health
Trimming, clipping, and styling fur according to breed standards or customer preferences
Cleaning ears, trimming nails, and expressing glands as needed
Ensuring the safety and comfort of animals throughout the grooming process
Maintaining a clean and organised grooming station and equipment
Providing excellent customer service by discussing grooming needs and aftercare advice with pet owners
Managing appointment schedules efficiently to ensure timely service delivery

Requirements

5 years prior experience in salon
Able to groom unattended 5-7 dogs per day
Cat handling desired (can offer training)
Strong knowledge of animal care practices and grooming techniques
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger dogs or equipment
Compassionate attitude towards animals and a keen eye for detail
Ability to work independently whilst maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety standards

This role is ideal for someone passionate about animal welfare who enjoys working in a dynamic environment. Candidates should be organised, reliable, and committed to providing exceptional care for every pet they groom.

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
