Description

Title: Pre-Academy Advanced Training Centre Coach (U8)

Reports to: Academy Recruitment Officer

Location: AFC Bournemouth Performance Centre, Knighton Lane, BH21 3FB

Days: Monday, Wednesday (17:00-19:00) & Saturday (varied timings)

Hours: 7 hours per week

Role Purpose

To lead the coaching and development Under-8 Advanced Training Centre players, within AFC Bournemouth’s Pre-Academy Programme.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver and review coaching sessions in accordance with AFC Bournemouth Pre-Academy Coaching Framework, maximising individual player development of players within the Under-8 Advanced Training Centre.
Monitor and assess players within Pre-Academy Sessions / Fixtures and provide players with specific feedback each Training Block, in line with our Pre-Academy Player Progress Report Templates.
Liaise with Pre-Academy Manager when players are ready for progression into AFC Bournemouth Academy at Under-9.
Contribute to the recruitment process of players for Pre-Academy where appropriate.

Professional Requirements

Attend continued professional development sessions organised by the Academy or other professional bodies.
Attend seasonal safeguarding training as required by the Club.
Adhere to all guidelines contained within the Club's Safeguarding Policy.
Utilise the ‘MyConcern’ system to ‘recognise, respond, report and record’ any safeguarding incidents in a timely and detailed manner.

General

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential

UEFA C License / FA Level 2 (working towards)
FA Safeguarding Children
EFAiF (Emergency First Aid in Football)
Excellent communication and organisational skills

Experience:

Experience of coaching football to players between 5 to 8 years old.

Desirable

Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:

UEFA B License (working towards)

Experience:

Working within a professional football environment at youth level.
