PROCUREMENT LEAD

Location: Five Oak Green, Kent

Salary: Competitive - Dependant on experience

About Alpha Wholesale

Alpha Wholesale is one of the South East's fastest-growing HVAC wholesalers, supplying air conditioning, ventilation, MVHR and associated products to contractors across the UK.

As we continue our growth journey, we are looking for an experienced Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of our purchasing, supplier relationships, stock management and supply chain performance.

This is a senior leadership role with genuine influence over business performance, profitability and customer service.

The Role

You will be responsible for ensuring the right products are available at the right time, at the right cost.

Working closely with Sales, Operations and the Leadership Team, you will drive supplier performance, optimise stock levels, improve forecasting accuracy and identify opportunities to improve margin and service.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the procurement and supply chain function
Manage supplier relationships and commercial negotiations
Deliver cost savings and margin improvements
Forecast stock requirements and manage inventory levels
Source new products and suppliers
Manage imports, logistics and supplier lead times
Monitor supplier performance and service levels
Develop purchasing processes and controls
Work closely with Sales to understand customer demand and market trends
Lead and develop the purchasing team

What We're Looking For

Strong procurement, buying or supply chain background
Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing commercial relationships
Strong analytical and forecasting skills
Experience managing stock and inventory performance
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
Experience within HVAC, distribution, wholesale, construction or technical products would be advantageous
