Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy team in delivering exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will assist with medication dispensing, patient interactions, and administrative tasks within a busy pharmacy environment. This role offers valuable experience for individuals interested in pursuing a career in pharmacy or healthcare, providing an opportunity to develop essential skills and knowledge.

Duties

Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
Prepare and label prescriptions in accordance with legal and safety standards
Manage stock levels, including ordering and inventory control
Provide excellent customer service by answering queries and offering guidance on over-the-counter products
Support medication administration processes under supervision where applicable
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Ensure the pharmacy environment complies with health and safety regulations
Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing prescriptions

Skills

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or similar role is highly desirable
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Compassionate approach to patient care and willingness to learn more about pharmacy practices
