Full job description

Quality, Packing and Shipping Operative

Job Summary

Responsible for inspecting, packing, and preparing products for shipment while ensuring all products meet CoorsTek and customer quality standards. This role involves the use of measuring equipment, completion of quality documentation, inventory verification, and safe material handling within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform in-process and final inspections using handheld and precision measuring equipment to verify compliance with quality and customer specifications.
Identify, isolate, and report non-conforming products in accordance with company procedures.
Accurately document inspection and packing activities using logs, reports, and computer systems.
Pack products for shipment according to customer and company requirements, ensuring correct labelling and packaging.
Assemble packing materials and crates as required.
Inspect outgoing products and packaging for quality, damage, and shipment accuracy.
Verify inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
Replenish and organise shipping and packing materials.
Safely move materials and finished products using hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, cranes, or other approved equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, tools, and equipment.
Support training activities and assist colleagues as required.
Follow all health, safety, and PPE requirements at all times.
Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, warehouse, quality, or inspection environment is essential.
Ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
Basic computer skills and experience completing production or quality records.
Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
