About the Role
This is not a traditional, transactional finance role focused purely on data entry. As a Finance Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of a growing, commercially driven business. You’ll sit at the centre of day-to-day finance activity, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency across multiple workflows.
This role blends:
- Finance administration
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Payroll support
- Commercial awareness
You won’t just be processing numbers, you’ll be contributing to the financial stability and growth of the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing purchase ledger and supplier accounts
- Supporting credit control and maintaining cash flow visibility
- Processing supplier payments accurately and on time
- Assisting with monthly payroll and PAYE submissions
- Managing subcontractor accounts and payments
- Raising client invoices in line with project requirements
- Reconciling bank accounts and ensuring accurate financial records
- Supporting the Finance Manager with ad hoc financial tasks
- Maintaining accurate data within Xero and internal systems
- Contributing to process improvements and finance efficiency

About You
We are not looking for someone who just wants to follow a process. We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and takes ownership of their work.
You may come from:
- Finance or accounts administration roles
- Accounts payable / receivable backgrounds
- Payroll or bookkeeping environments
- Construction or subcontractor-based finance (advantageous)
What matters most is that you:
- Have at least 2 years’ experience in a finance role
- Are confident using Xero
- Have strong Excel and general IT skills
- Have high attention to detail
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and suppliers
- Can manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Take ownership of your work and outputs
- Want to grow and develop within a finance function
