The mission of Company Bakery has always been simple: to create exceptional sourdough and pastries using traditional techniques, the finest ingredients, and the most sustainable methods possible.

Founded in Edinburgh in 2017 by four friends from the food and drink industry, the ethos of Company Bakery has always been centred on quality: in our products, in our people, in our relationships, and in everything we do.

Eight years on, we serve Edinburgh, the Lothians, and Glasgow seven days a week, supplying hundreds of cafes, restaurants, caterers, shops and homes, in addition to having our very own café in Musselburgh.

The Role

We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Nightshift Pastry Baker to join our expanding team. This is a hands-on, full-time role working in our dedicated pastry department. You’ll be involved in the pastry-making process, including:

baking the large numbers of pastries we create each day
producing seasonal specials for markets and wholesale
creating a range of sweet bakes such as brownies, cookies, scones, and cinnamon buns

You’ll be part of an enthusiastic team that values learning, collaboration, and craft. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a fast-paced and dynamic bakery environment.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in a commercial bakery, restaurant, or similar setting (preferred)
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for baking high volumes overnight
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production timelines while maintaining high standards
A strong eye for detail and passion for producing beautiful, consistent products
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices, including allergen and cross-contamination protocols

Additional Info

The night pastry team operates between 7pm-5am, with 10-hour shifts
We run a 4-day work week, spread across 7 days — weekend work is essential
