Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Casual Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities team! In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across various commercial and residential sites. Your enthusiasm for cleanliness and attention to detail will ensure spaces are spotless and well-maintained, contributing to a positive experience for everyone who visits or works in the facilities. This casual position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to develop your skills in cleaning, custodial tasks, and facilities maintenance.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
Carry out floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to keep floors pristine and safe
Conduct industrial cleaning tasks including high dusting, window washing, and deep cleaning of equipment or machinery when required
Assist with janitorial duties like trash removal, restocking supplies, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and general upkeep as needed
Maintain cleanliness logs and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all staff

Qualifications

Proven experience in cleaning or custodial roles within commercial, industrial, or residential settings is preferred
Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing is highly desirable
Familiarity with janitorial equipment and cleaning chemicals to ensure effective use and safety compliance
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is advantageous
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
