Vehicle Technician

Location: RW Cars Ltd, Unit 8 Prime Way Park, Derby DE1 3QB

Salary: £16.00 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (No weekends)

About Us

RW Cars Ltd is one of the UK's fastest-growing used car retailers, specialising in high-quality, one-owner vehicles. Based in Derby, we sell over 300 vehicles per month and pride ourselves on delivering outstanding customer service and vehicle preparation standards.

We are looking for a motivated and reliable PDI Technician to join our busy preparation team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical experience who is looking to build a long-term career in the motor trade.

The Role

As a PDI Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out vehicle inspections, servicing, and preparation work to ensure our vehicles meet the high standards expected by our customers.

Duties Include

Carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on used vehicles
Completing vehicle health checks
Replacing bulbs, wiper blades, batteries, brakes and other service items
Checking fluid levels and tyre condition
Performing servicing and maintenance tasks
Diagnosing and reporting defects
Ensuring vehicles are prepared to retail standards
Maintaining accurate inspection records
Working closely with the Aftersales and Preparation teams
Mechanical Repairs

What We're Looking For

Previous mechanical experience is essential
Experience in a garage, fast-fit centre, vehicle preparation or servicing environment
Ability to carry out servicing, inspections and minor repairs
Own basic hand tools required
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Good attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Full UK Driving Licence
