Full job description

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A person with a can-do attitude to join our small, friendly team to help us with our growing online food business
We need to recruit an efficient, tidy person to pack our food products.
Experience in working in a food business for example in a cafe, in catering, on a hot or cold food counter, or as a cook, butcher, food preparation assistant or as a kitchen porter is required.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER

Up to £13.65 per hour for age 21+ - a great rate of pay above the Real Living Wage
12 hours per week worked in 2 x 6 hour shifts or worked in 3 x 4 hour shifts
Flexible working hours to accommodate family responsibilities.
15% staff discount after 1 month’s service
Rural, traffic free, on-farm working environment
Working as part of a small team

WHAT THE JOB INVOLVES

The job holder must be able to neatly pack our products (e.g. sausages, burgers, mince, chicken) cleanly and hygienically using our packing equipment.
The job holder must maintain a clean work station, and clear up and wash up all equipment and dishes at the end of their shift.
The job will also involve packing orders for despatch to customers in the UK and Ireland.
The responsibilities of the job include cleaning equipment, cleaning cold stores, cleaning work areas, packing areas and customer areas.

We only ever supply natural, sustainable food and keep our supply miles to a minimum sourcing locally from Northern Ireland.

Job Responsibilities

Packing and labelling products using a vacuum packer and a labelling machine
The role is physically active and requires manual handling
The role will include lifting boxes of stock (up to 15kg)
The role will also include cleaning the packing areas, refrigerated areas, food prep areas, butchery areas and cold stores.

Education:

GCSE or equivalent (required)

Experience:

catering, kitchen, cafe, deli counter, food preparation or butchery experience: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:
