Dog Squad London are looking for some part-time (zero hours) team members to join our daycare team.
We are a small dog daycare (maximum capacity 20 dogs/ day) and are looking for a team member or two to be available for holiday / sickness cover etc.
You will be a positive, dog-loving individual with bags of initiative. You will be an all-rounder, happy to ‘muck in’ with all levels of jobs around the centre.
The role will involve:
- Supervising dogs in our care; feeding them (where necessary), walking them, giving them lots of cuddles and affection, initiating enrichment games and ensuring they have a happy, safe and controlled day
- Acting as the face of the business, welcoming and meeting/greeting customers
- Reporting on any physical or behavioural changes, taking photographs/videos of the dogs enjoying their day to share with owners
- Cleaning up after the dogs, and ensuring that all health/safety and dog welfare rules are followed and upheld to the highest standards
- Supporting with maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the centre
- Collecting dogs from owners homes & transporting them to/from site (very occasionally)
Must have requirements:
- Most importantly- an adoration and pure love for dogs of all shapes and sizes
- Live within appropriate traveling distance of Wandsworth Park (less than 30 minutes)
- Excellent understanding of dog/animal welfare and health & safety laws
- Show a proven history through references of reliability, trustworthiness and good organisation skills
Ideally:
- At least 1 year experience working with dogs in a groomers / kennels / day care environment etc, or a qualification in animal management / pet care or other relevant demonstrable experience
- Full clean driving license
Please note - this is a physically challenging role, working in all weathers outside, lifting, bending etc whilst controlling and cleaning up after the dogs. Do not apply if you are not ready for this.

Zero-Hours Role
The hours will fall between 8am - 6.45pm, Monday - Friday. Most shifts will be 4hrs, but some may be longer as demand requires.
You will be self-employed on a contractor basis.
The pay will be hourly (age dependant between £10.85/hr - £12.80/hr). Minimum age 18 years old.
Some months there will be a need for multiple shifts, and others may only be a couple.
