Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bathroom Fitter to join our team on a self employed basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining bathroom fixtures and fittings in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing, carpentry, paneling, (plastering and electrics would be beneficial but not required),as well as the ability to work efficiently and safely on various projects. The ideal applicant will possess practical experience with hand tools, power tools, and assembly, ensuring high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Install new bathroom suites, including baths, showers, sinks, toilets, and associated fixtures.
Tiling wall, floor or installing LVT flooring and wall panels
Repair or replace existing bathroom fittings as required.
Measure and cut materials accurately using hand tools and power tools.
Perform plumbing tasks such as connecting water supply lines and drainage systems.
Utilise soldering skills where necessary to secure fixtures or repair damaged components.
Carry out carpentry work for framing or supporting structures within bathroom installations.
Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and building regulations.
Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with plumbing or fixtures.
Lift heavy materials safely during installation or removal processes.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace throughout each project.

Requirements

Proven experience in bathroom fitting or similar trade roles.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, solding equipment, and assembly techniques.
Strong plumbing skills with knowledge of water supply systems and drainage.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to bathroom fixtures and fittings.
Carpentry skills for framing or supporting structures within bathrooms.
Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and work in confined spaces.
Have own van and tools.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Organised approach to project management with the ability to meet deadlines safely and efficiently.
