Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tyre Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and maintaining tyres on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for vehicle maintenance and customer service to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Duties

Remove and replace tyres on cars, lorries, and other vehicles using appropriate hand and power tools
Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and punctures, recommending repairs or replacements as necessary
Balance tyres to ensure smooth operation and minimise vibrations during driving
Perform routine maintenance tasks related to tyre fitting and vehicle safety checks
Assist customers by providing advice on tyre selection, maintenance, and safety procedures
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot tyre-related issues effectively
Operate heavy lifting equipment safely when handling large or heavy tyres

Experience

Prior experience in tyre fitting or vehicle maintenance is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Mechanical knowledge is desirable to understand vehicle systems and tyre fitting procedures
Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers is required
Experience with power tools used in tyre fitting is beneficial
Ability to perform maintenance tasks efficiently while maintaining high safety standards
Strong customer service skills to assist clients professionally and courteously
Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual handling of tyres and equipment is essential
