Overview
Join our culinary team as a Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager, where your passion for food and leadership will help elevate our kitchen operations. In this energetic role, you will oversee daily kitchen activities, ensure exceptional food quality, help build a talented team. Your expertise in food production, and restaurant management will drive excellence in every dish served. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual eager to lead with creativity, precision, and enthusiasm in a fast-paced hospitality environment. On top of wages a weekly split of tips of around £100.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency and excellence across all menu items.
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize kitchen efficiency.
Plan and develop menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to dietary needs and client preferences.
Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail and timely execution.
Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards to maintain a safe working environment.
Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a positive work culture focused on teamwork, leadership, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Proven experience in fine dining establishments with strong background in food production, catering, and restaurant management.
Demonstrated supervisory experience leading culinary teams in high-volume settings.
Extensive knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
Skilled in menu planning, food preparation techniques, and culinary innovation.
Experience with banquet service, dietary department procedures, and catering logistics is highly desirable.
Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills; capable of managing shift schedules and motivating staff.
Familiarity with the food industry standards for cleanliness, safety, and customer service excellence.
