Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Spray Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to vehicles, ensuring a professional and durable result. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work efficiently within a busy workshop environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive refinishing and a commitment to craftsmanship.

Duties

Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Mix paints and colours accurately according to specifications.
Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats using spray guns and other painting equipment.
Utilise hand tools and power tools for surface preparation and finishing tasks.
Conduct quality checks on painted surfaces, ensuring smooth, even coverage without defects.
Perform minor repairs or touch-ups as required to meet quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist with the movement of vehicles within the workshop, including heavy lifting when necessary.

Skills

Proven experience in vehicle spray painting or automotive refinishing.
Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle surfaces and painting equipment.
Proficiency in handling hand tools and power tools used in automotive painting processes.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when manoeuvring vehicles or materials.
Strong attention to detail with an eye for colour matching and finish quality.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to spray painting environments. Pay: £19.00-£21.00 per hour
