Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Builder / Bricklayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of building tasks, specialising in bricklaying preferred and must be able to work on your own when required.

Transport is preferred as work is available for the right person at other locations with a mixture of extensions and landscaping , Hardworker required to just muck in and do whatever is required to get the jobs done

Duties

Construct, repair, and restore brickwork, stonework, and masonry structures in accordance with project specifications.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out building tasks efficiently.
Assist with carpentry work, roofing installations, and welding as required for different phases of construction projects.
Prepare sites by setting out foundations and ensuring accurate measurements for bricklaying and masonry work.
Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless progress on construction sites.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace by disposing of waste materials responsibly and storing tools correctly.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to minimise risks on site.
Support the installation of roofing components and perform basic welding tasks when necessary.

Skills

Proven experience with bricklaying, masonry, and general building techniques.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels.
Competence with power tools including drills, saws, and grinders.
Knowledge of carpentry principles relevant to construction projects.
Ability to work at heights during roofing tasks safely.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment. This position offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about construction and masonry work to develop their skills further while contributing to diverse building projects in a professional setting.
