Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiting/Bar Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the hospitality industry to develop their skills in a dynamic environment. Previous restaurant or bar experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. The position involves working in a fast-paced setting, requiring excellent organisational and communication skills. Applicants must be aged 18 or over and committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Taking orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service to guests
Serving food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met
Upselling menu items to maximise sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including tables, bar counters, and workstations
Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Assisting with food preparation tasks where necessary, adhering to health and safety guidelines
Managing guest enquiries professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
Handling cash transactions accurately using the till system and providing correct change
Supporting team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or similar roles is advantageous
Sound knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing and cash handling purposes
Experience with upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise revenue
Good kitchen awareness; understanding of culinary processes is beneficial
Effective communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
