Full job description

************** THIS IS A DRIVING JOB. You will be transporting patients to and from Hillingdon Hospital. TRAINING for the role will take place at our Head office in South Bermondsey London. ****************

8 Hours Per Shift – 06:00 - 14:00 or 14:00 - 22:00.

Monday – Sunday (4 on 4 off shift pattern)

In addition to our school and daily transport services, we also offer specialised transport solutions for events, ensuring every passenger experiences a comfortable and stress-free journey, no matter the occasion.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and compassionate individuals with excellent communication skills, to provide safe transport for our patients.

You will be assisting our patients to and from their hospital appointments, treatment centres and other similar facilities.

Essential Skills:

Sensitivity and understanding
The ability to remain calm in stressful situations
To be thorough and pay attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills
To work well with others
Excellent verbal communication skills
Thinking and reasoning skills
Willing to learn how to use the main software packages

If you also have experience of caring for people needing specialist assistance, then we would like to hear from you!

As an ACA you will be expected to:

Transfer patients to and from appointments
Help patients in and out of the vehicle
Make sure patients are safe and secure during journeys
Settle patients back at home after their appointment
Keep in touch with the ambulance control room, using a radio
Carry out basic vehicle checks, and maintain medical supplies and equipment
Keep accurate records of journeys

Essential Requirements

Manual driving licence with no more than 3 points.

Full Enhanced DBS

Training

Mandatory ACA training will be given. You must be available all 5 days and pass all modules.

Please note that this role will be subject to several regulatory pre-employment checks. You will be asked to provide details of your full employment history, should you be invited to an interview.
