About the Department / Team
The new business sales team is critical to our growth. We are the first point of contact with potential customers and play a key role in generating opportunities for our Business Development Managers (BDMs).
This is a targeted, account-based sales environment focused on driving real commercial outcomes.
What the Job Is
The primary focus of this role is to generate new business opportunities by booking qualified appointments for a Senior Business Development Manager.
You will report into the New Business Sales Leader, while working day-to-day in close partnership with a Specific Senior BDM.
You will be aligned to that BDM to generate and convert opportunities within defined target accounts.
This role offers clear ownership of your activity and its impact, with full visibility of deal outcomes and revenue generated from the opportunities you create.
You will focus on high-quality, well-qualified meetings rather than purely high-volume activity, ensuring strong pipeline conversion.
Within the Role You Will:
- Book qualified new business appointments for a Senior BDM
- Conduct outbound calls into defined target accounts
- Build relationships with key decision-makers within SME businesses
- Support your BDM with account research and pipeline development
- Maintain accurate CRM data to support opportunity tracking and visibility
- Identify and create new opportunities within your assigned accounts
- Contribute directly to pipeline and revenue outcomes
- Achieve personal targets, team targets and KPI’s
- Present Lily’s proposition confidently to potential customers

Previous outbound telephone sales experience is required for this role.
You must be able to demonstrate a track record of generating new business opportunities through proactive outbound activity.
