Cook Up a Difference as a Nursery Chef with iStep Learning

Do you have a passion for creating nutritious, delicious meals and snacks for children? At iStep Learning, we’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Chef to join our team and play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of children aged 3 months to 5 years.

If you’re a skilled chef who loves working in a dynamic, child-centred environment, with a solid understanding of nutrition and a talent for catering to a variety of dietary needs and allergies, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

Create Balanced Meals: Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks that align with children’s dietary guidelines.
Cater to Individual Needs: Adapt to various dietary requirements, including allergies, intolerances, and cultural preferences.
Ensure Food Safety: Maintain the highest hygiene standards, keeping the kitchen compliant with health and safety regulations.
Manage Kitchen Operations: Oversee food stock levels, order supplies, and work within the nursery’s budget.
Collaborate on Menus: Work with the nursery team to design seasonal menus that provide variety, balance, and excitement for children.
Support Meal Times: Make meal times enjoyable, supporting children and staff where necessary.
Maintain a Clean Kitchen: Keep the kitchen organised, safe, and compliant with food safety standards.
