CAGED VAN (7.5 TONNE) DRIVER/OPERATIVE-LABOURERAbout L&SL&S is one of the leading independent waste management companies in Southern England because of our industry knowledge and experience, as well as our commitment to providing quality services.The RoleWe are looking to recruit a Caged Van Driver/Operative-Labourer for our Caged Van waste removal service based out of our Fareham Site (PO15 6SD) who is able to work within a very small team and possess the skills and competencies to undertake this work activity. The role is physically demanding, involving manually handling and lifting waste by removing it from site into the back of the caged vanThe role of Caged Van Driver/Operative-Labourer involves:

driving a 7.5 tonne caged van vehicle
loading waste material onto the caged van with the assistance of another Operative/Labourer whilst working collaboratively as a team
ensuring good housekeeping practices are maintained to a high standard at all times
completing paperwork via a PDA
weekly/daily maintenance of the vehicle
providing effective operational support to management.

Have good manual handling techniques
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Understands the importance of health and safety
Works safely and adheres to instructions and safe systems of work
Good customer service and communication skills
Positive, motivated, and pro-active
Must have a full UK 7.5 tonne driving licence
Must hold Valid DCPC and digital tachograph card

Reward

£13.67 hourly rate
25 days holiday which increases to 27 after 5 years service, and 30 after 10 years service
