Overview

We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time (2 days a week) Teaching Assistant to join our team, with a special focus on delivering high-quality Forest School provision.

If you're passionate about outdoor learning, enjoy working creatively with children, and are ready to make a real difference to their development and wellbeing, we'd love to hear from you.

Salary type: Bucks Pay

Salary Details: Bucks Pay Range 2 (FTE £26,522 to £28,742)

About the role

Following our recent 'Good' Ofsted inspection, the staff here are excited for the ambitious plans we have over the coming years. We are committed to continually improving the school, based on educational research and cognitive science. We are at the beginning of this journey and this role holds much scope for any candidate who has an understanding of, or is keen to learn more about, Rosenshine's Principles in Action.

In this unique and rewarding role, you will plan and lead engaging Forest School sessions for children from Nursery to Year 6, helping to develop their confidence, resilience and independence through outdoor learning. You will create a safe, inclusive and inspiring environment where all pupils can thrive, while managing resources, assessing risk and maintaining high standards of safety. You will also play a key role in developing our outdoor provision and working collaboratively with staff and external partners where appropriate.

About you

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and friendly Teaching Assistant to join our small, supportive team. Staff here work closely together and value collaboration, and we are seeking someone who shares this commitment to teamwork and positively contributing to school life.

Your qualities:

Be calm, nurturing and able to create a safe, supportive environment where all children feel confident to explore and learn.
Be passionate about outdoor learning and the positive impact it has on children's confidence, resilience and independence.
Be committed to delivering high-quality, engaging learning experiences through Forest School approaches.
Be flexible, proactive and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Have experience of working with children from a range of backgrounds and with differing needs, ensuring all pupils can access outdoor learning.
Be highly organised and efficient, with the ability to plan, prepare and manage resources and sessions effectively.
