Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative / Multi-Trade Technician (Mobile Role)
Reading & Surrounding Areas
£28,000 – £32,000 (depending on experience) + profit-sharing
Company Van & Fuel Card Provided

Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm

Immediate start available

About the Role
We are hiring a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative to join our growing property maintenance team at Community Property Care.

This is a mobile maintenance role covering Reading and surrounding areas, carrying out a wide range of property maintenance, compliance, and repair work across residential sites.

This role would suit someone with experience as a maintenance operative, multi-trade operative, handyman, or property maintenance technician.

Essential requirements:

Full UK manual driving licence
Multi-trade maintenance experience

What You’ll Be Doing

Carrying out reactive and planned property maintenance across multiple sites
Completing general repairs (carpentry, decorating, fencing, minor electrical, etc.)
Conducting fire door inspections, Asset inspections and repairs (training provided)
Recording work, quoting, and updating jobs using mobile apps and a laptop
Communicating with tenants and managing agents
Delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service
Occasional overnight stays when required

What We’re Looking For

Experience as a multi-skilled operative / multi-trade / maintenance technician / handyman
Basic electrical repair knowledge
Strong problem-solving skills and reliability
Comfortable using mobile apps and digital systems
Fire door experience (desirable but not essential)
