As part of our continued growth, we are currently looking to recruit a QA Technologist to strengthen our team at our Cucina Site in Manchester .
About The Role
As a QA Technologist you will ensure all food products are manufactured safely, legally, and to the required quality standards by monitoring compliance with food safety systems, customer requirements, and site procedures.

As a QA Technologist your key responsibilities will be :
Quality & Food Safety
- Monitor compliance with HACCP, GMP, and food safety procedures
- Conduct factory and hygiene audits, glass & brittle plastic checks, and CCP
verification
- Support food safety incidents, investigations, and root cause analysis
- Ensure product quality standards are consistently met
Sampling, Testing & Records
- Carry out complaint Investigation
- Carry out product, environmental, and raw material sampling
- Perform Quality checks (weights, seals, labels, dates, allergens, etc.)
- Maintain accurate quality and traceability records
- Support shelf-life trials, process and product validations
Compliance & Standards
- Support compliance with BRCGS / SALSA
- Assist during external and customer audits
- Monitor allergen controls and segregation
- Review and complete documentation accurately and on time
Production Support
- Provide QA support to manufacturing teams on the factory floor
- Monitor quality KPIs
- Raise non-conformances and support corrective actions
- Challenge unsafe or non-compliant practices when required
About You:
Essential

Food Safety Level 2
-
Food manufacturing experience — Experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment

Food safety knowledge — Working knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards

Attention to detail — Strong record‑keeping and accuracy

Fast‑paced production capability — Confident working in a busy, high‑volume environment

Shift flexibility — Willingness to work shifts in a factory‑floor role
Desirable

Food Science qualification — Food Science, Food Technology, or related qualification (desirable)

HACCP Level 2+ — HACCP Level 2 or above (desirable)QA experience — Previous QA Technologist or QA Assistant experience

BRCGS/SALSA understanding — Knowledge of BRCGS Food Safety or SALSA Standard

Customer COP knowledge — Experience working with customer codes of practice

Microbiology exposure — Microbiology or food testing experience
