Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated KP/Cook to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional setting. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to contribute to a dynamic team committed to delivering exceptional service.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
Assist in food preparation, ensuring all dishes meet quality and presentation requirements
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
Serve food efficiently and courteously to customers or staff as required
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Support other kitchen staff during busy periods, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is essential
Experience in meal preparation, including handling various kitchen equipment, is advantageous
Familiarity with serving in a hospitality setting will be beneficial
A genuine interest in culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills are highly valued

This role provides an excellent platform for aspiring chefs or kitchen assistants to gain practical experience while working in a supportive environment. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
