Job Title: Factory Handyman
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Factory Manager
Job Summary
A Factory Handyman is responsible for carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of factory buildings, equipment, and facilities. The role ensures that the factory environment remains safe, clean, and operational by performing a variety of routine maintenance tasks and assisting with repairs as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair work on factory buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and identify maintenance issues.
- Repair doors, windows, locks, shelves, flooring, and other building components.
- Carry out basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry tasks.
- Assist maintenance technicians with machinery repairs and installation projects.
- Maintain factory grounds, walkways, and storage areas.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies are properly maintained and stored.
- Support factory setup changes, including moving equipment and materials.
- Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Keep maintenance records and report completed work to supervisors.
- Participate in preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities maintenance, or handyman work preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.

Salary Range: £14/h- £23/h
Pay: £14.00-£23.00 per hour
