Ready to take ownership of a seven-figure paid social budget?

Higher Education Partners (HEP) is one of the UK's leading online education businesses, partnering with 12 universities to deliver online Master's and Doctoral programmes to working professionals.

We're looking for an experienced Social Media Ads Manager to lead our paid social strategy across Meta and LinkedIn, managing substantial advertising budgets across multiple university partners and audiences.

This isn't a role focused solely on campaign execution. We're looking for someone who can think strategically about where budget should be invested, balance competing priorities across multiple stakeholders, and make data-driven decisions that drive both lead quality and business growth.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take ownership of paid social performance across a portfolio of university partners, managing significant media spend and ensuring budgets are allocated effectively to maximise results.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing large-scale Meta Ads campaigns across Facebook and Instagram
Developing and optimising LinkedIn advertising campaigns targeting professional audiences
Owning budget allocation and investment decisions across multiple university partner accounts
Moving budget dynamically between campaigns, audiences, and partners based on performance and business priorities
Building audience strategies using first-party data, CRM insights, and platform targeting tools
Working closely with university stakeholders to understand enrolment targets and intake priorities
Collaborating with analytics, CRM, content, and contact centre teams to improve lead quality and conversion performance
Delivering clear reporting and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders
Identifying opportunities for growth, testing, and continuous improvement across paid social activity

Who We're Looking For

You'll be an experienced paid social specialist who understands that successful performance marketing is about more than optimising ads.

You'll have:

5+ years' experience managing paid social campaigns
Strong hands-on expertise in Meta Ads Manager
Experience managing significant annual advertising budgets (£2m+)
Experience overseeing multiple accounts, brands, or clients simultaneously
A proven ability to make strategic budget allocation decisions based on performance and commercial priorities
Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with multiple internal and external partners
Excellent analytical and reporting capabilities
The ability to translate data into actionable recommendations

Desirable

Experience with LinkedIn Ads
Agency or multi-client environment experience
Experience in lead generation, education, professional services, or similar sectors
Exposure to GA4, CRM integrations, and attribution reporting
