About Royvon
At Royvon Dog Training & Hotels, we specialise in helping dogs and their owners overcome behavioural challenges through modern, welfare-focused, force free only training methods.
Our Merthyr Tydfil site provides residential training, behaviour modification programmes, daycare, boarding, and private training services. We work with a wide range of dogs, including those experiencing reactivity, anxiety, fear-based behaviours, and other behavioural concerns.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Behaviour Dog Trainer to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
This is a hands-on role that combines behaviour training with supporting the wider care team when required, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both training and practical dog care.
About the Role
As a Behaviour Dog Trainer, you will work directly with dogs enrolled on residential training and behaviour programmes, implementing training plans and supporting their progress throughout their stay.
In addition to residential training, you will deliver 1:1 training and behaviour sessions with owners and their dogs, helping clients develop the skills and confidence needed to continue their dog's progress at home.
You will be responsible for delivering training sessions, monitoring behavioural development, communicating with clients, and ensuring the highest standards of welfare and care.
As part of a collaborative team, you will also support general dog care duties when required, including feeding, cleaning, enrichment activities, and maintaining safe kennel environments.
