Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning, particularly in hotel environments, and possess excellent customer service skills. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, ensuring that all areas are welcoming and well-presented for our guests. The shifts are on a three day on then three day off basis starting at 8am Monday to Friday and 7.30am on Saturday and Sunday. additional shifts will be required to cover sickness and holidays.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces in accordance with established standards.
Ensure all surfaces are dusted, vacuumed, and mopped as necessary to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
Replace linens, towels, and other amenities in guest rooms as required.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are used safely and effectively.
Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
Assist in the training of new staff members on cleaning procedures and standards when necessary.

Qualifications

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or hotel environments is preferred but not essential.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
A background in cooking is an advantage but not required.
