We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper/Payroll Officer to join our admin team. This role is vital in ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, timely payroll processing, and efficient management of accounts payable. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with various accounting software, and a good understanding of human resources processes. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to organisational financial health and employee satisfaction.

Duties

Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software using Sage
Process payroll efficiently, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time
Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and vendor payments
Perform data entry tasks related to financial transactions, employee records, and payroll data
Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy of financial statements
Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies or irregularities and recommend corrective actions
Generate reports for management review, providing insights into financial performance and payroll metrics

Qualifications

Proven experience with Sage accounting software
Strong knowledge of payroll processing procedures
Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail
Familiarity with accounts payable processes and financial reconciliation methods
Analytical skills capable of interpreting complex financial data accurately
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Previous experience in payroll administration is desirable
Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or human resources are advantageous

Hours

Our working hours are Monday-Thursday 07:30-16:15

Holidays

Glenisla operates set shutdown periods for holidays, 1 week in April, 2 weeks in July, 1 week in October and 2 weeks at Christmas, with three bank holiday Mondays - 2 in May and one in September.

Start Date 3rd August 2026

Pay: £24,420.00-£25,500.00 per year
