General Warehouse Operative

Location: Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: National Minimum Wage
Job Type: 24 hours per week

Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable, physically fit, and hardworking General Warehouse Operative to join our team. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where accuracy, efficiency, and the ability to pick orders at speed are essential. You will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed and dispatched on time while maintaining high standards throughout the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

Picking customer orders accurately and efficiently from stock
Picking orders at speed while maintaining excellent attention to detail
Packing snacks securely to ensure safe delivery
Stocking shelves and organising inventory
Receiving, checking, and unloading deliveries
Inspecting products for quality and reporting any issues
Assisting with stock takes and inventory control
Working at height using appropriate equipment to access and replenish stock stored on warehouse racking
Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and safe at all times
Following all company health and safety procedures

Requirements

Physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods
Comfortable working at height and using steps, ladders, or other approved warehouse access equipment safely
Able to work accurately in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality
Hardworking, motivated, and willing to take initiative
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Ability to pick and pack orders efficiently while maintaining accuracy
Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team

Working Hours

24 hours per week
Monday to Thursday
7:30am – 1:30pm (6 hours per day)
Flexibility required to provide additional cover for holidays and sickness when needed
