Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets project specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in masonry and related trades to develop their skills within a professional environment. The position involves working on various residential and commercial projects, contributing to the realisation of durable and aesthetically pleasing interiors and exteriors.

Responsibilities

Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary primers or bonding agents.
Mixing plaster to the correct consistency using hand tools or power mixers.
Applying plaster smoothly and evenly to walls, ceilings, or other structures using trowels, hawks, or specialised tools.
Ensuring finishes meet specified standards for texture, colour, and smoothness.
Repairing damaged plasterwork or patching existing surfaces as required.
Operating relevant equipment such as power tools, bricklaying tools, and carpentry instruments safely and efficiently.
Collaborating with other tradespeople including masons, carpenters, roofers, and welders to complete projects on time.
Maintaining a clean work environment by clearing debris and safely storing tools and materials.

Qualifications

Proven experience in plastering or related masonry trades.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, hawks, and floats.
Knowledge of bricklaying, masonry techniques, and the use of power tools relevant to plastering tasks.
Familiarity with carpentry, roofing, and welding is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications accurately.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical fitness to perform manual labour over extended periods in various weather conditions. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute their expertise in plastering while expanding their skills across related trades within a supportive team environment.

Pay: £15.56-£25.27 per hour
