Lunchtime Cover Practitioner (10:00am – 2:00pm)

Location: The Park Nursery, Runcorn
Hours: 10:00am – 2:00pm, Monday to Friday
Job Type: Part-time | Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a caring and reliable Lunchtime Cover Practitioner to join our friendly team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children and is looking for family-friendly hours within a supportive nursery environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting children during mealtimes and encouraging positive eating habits
Helping to set up, serve and supervise healthy, balanced lunches
Promoting children's independence and developing good table manners
Supporting smooth and calm transitions between lunch and afternoon activities
Assisting with tidying and preparing the environment for the afternoon session
Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety and care at all times

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Kind, patient and dependable
Passionate about supporting children's wellbeing and development
Comfortable working with children aged 0–5 years
A good communicator and team player
Able to follow nursery policies, procedures and daily routines

A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification would be an advantage but is not essential. We value enthusiasm, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for working with children.
