Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team, working closely with the Chef Owner and Sous Chef. This is a hands-on role in a quality-driven kitchen, ideal for a chef who is passionate about fresh food, consistency, and high standards.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for their section, supporting the senior chefs in delivering excellent dishes and maintaining a smooth and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Operations

Take ownership of a designated section and ensure it runs efficiently during service
Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard
Ensure all prep is completed in a timely and organised manner
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within your section at all times

Team Support

Work closely with the Chef Owner and Sous Chef to deliver smooth service
Support junior members of the kitchen team where required
Communicate effectively during busy service periods
Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen environment

Food Quality & Standards

Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant’s standards for quality and presentation
Follow recipes and specifications set by the senior chefs
Monitor portion control and minimise waste
Maintain a strong focus on consistency across every service

Health & Safety

Adhere to all food hygiene and health & safety regulations
Ensure proper storage, labelling, and handling of ingredients
Keep workstations clean and compliant with kitchen standards

Stock & Organisation

Assist with stock rotation and inventory within your section
Support ordering and stock control as required
Ensure minimal wastage and efficient use of ingredients

Requirements

Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to step up
Passion for fresh, seasonal food and high-quality cooking
Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
Strong organisational and time management skills
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy service periods

Desirable

Experience in a quality-driven or independent restaurant
Knowledge of different cooking techniques and cuisines
Food hygiene certification
