About Us

Pro-Fit Group is a fast-growing, family-run green energy retrofit business delivering commercial and residential projects across multiple sites. As we continue to scale, we are looking for an experienced and driven Human Resources Manager to shape and lead our people strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in growing businesses and enjoys building structure, developing people, and creating high-performing cultures while maintaining the values and agility of a family-run company.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the Human Resources Manager will lead all HR functions across the business, helping us professionalise, scale sustainably, and support our expanding workforce of employed staff, contractors, and subcontractors.

You will be both strategic and hands-on — designing people systems, supporting leadership development, improving performance culture, and ensuring compliance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities - Strategic HR Leadership

Develop and deliver a scalable people strategy aligned to company growth goals
Forecast workforce needs across operational sites and specialist retrofit teams
Introduce organisational structure, role clarity, and succession planning

Leadership & Performance Development

Build development plans for senior leadership teams
Support managers with people management best practices
Introduce performance management frameworks that encourage accountability, recognition, and high performance
Help foster a positive, inclusive, and entrepreneurial culture

HR Systems & Processes

Implement suitable HR systems for a multi-site workforce
Create practical and compliant HR policies and procedures
Develop frameworks for appraisals, objective setting, reviews, and capability management

Recruitment & Onboarding

Lead recruitment across technical, operational, and commercial functions
Standardise onboarding processes across sites
Ensure contractor and subcontractor vetting and compliance standards are maintained

Employee Relations & Culture

Advise managers on employee relations matters including conduct, grievances, and performance issues
Maintain the company’s family-run culture while supporting business growth
Develop engagement and retention initiatives

Compliance & Training

Ensure compliance with UK employment law and industry regulations
Work alongside Health & Safety teams to support safe working practices
Support staff development and industry accreditations such as PAS 2030 and MCS
Coach and develop managers in effective leadership and people management

About You

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who enjoys building systems, developing people, and helping businesses grow.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist within a growing SME or multi-site business
Experience supporting organisational growth and change
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
Experience implementing HR systems, policies, and processes
Strong employee relations experience
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Able to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery
