Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary experience, and a commitment to delivering exceptional food quality and service. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. The Chef will play a vital role in creating a welcoming dining environment and inspiring the kitchen team to achieve excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and restaurant standards.
Oversee all aspects of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control stock levels to minimise waste.
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive team atmosphere focused on continuous improvement.
Ensure all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service times and optimise guest satisfaction.
Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.
Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation techniques, and presentation skills.
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
Excellent understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
Experience in culinary innovation and menu development is advantageous.
Good organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Previous restaurant experience with a focus on hospitality service is preferred. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated culinary professional eager to lead a talented team while delivering outstanding dining experiences.
