Please note this is a 12 month contract but this could be extended . Hybrid 2 days a week in the York office .

About Our Role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced People Business Partner to join our People Team. In this role, you will act as a strategic advisor to leaders and managers, aligning people strategies with business objectives. You will play a pivotal role in driving performance, engagement, and organisational effectiveness while championing a positive and inclusive culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Partnering with leaders and managers to align people plans with business objectives.
Providing expert advice on organisational design, workforce planning, and change management.
Coaching leaders on engagement, culture change, performance management, and employee relations.
Building strong stakeholder relationships, understanding business challenges, and delivering effective people solutions.
Leading on complex Employment Relations matters and supporting less complex cases.
Supporting organisational change, talent planning, succession planning, and leadership development.
Driving company culture, values, and equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
Ensuring compliance with employment and data protection legislation, as well as internal policies.
Using people data and insights to inform strategic decision-making.
Supporting the Head of People with ad hoc projects and contributing to wider team initiatives.
Leading and managing People Specialist and People Admin roles.
Acting as a role model for company values, demonstrating a pragmatic and solution-focused approach.

What We Need From You

Proven experience in a strategic People Business Partner role.
Confidence working with leaders at all levels, with a commercial yet people-focused mindset.
A proactive approach with the ability to drive change and deliver results.
Strong knowledge of employment law and data protection.
Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and coaching skills.
Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational delivery.
Curiosity and awareness of emerging people trends and best practice.
CIPD qualification (desirable).
