About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Purchasing Administrator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively across departments within a well-established and growing business.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our purchasing function -supporting stock availability, maintaining supplier relationships, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

Creating and processing accurate purchase orders
Checking order confirmations (price, quantity and availability)
Monitoring stock levels in line with sales trends
Chasing overdue purchase orders and responding to urgent requests
Resolving invoice queries and discrepancies
Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery
Supporting sourcing and development of new suppliers
Adjusting orders to achieve cost savings through bulk purchasing
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring departmental procedures are followed
Supporting ISO 9001 quality standards and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Confident working with IT systems and multiple screens
Strong numerical and problem-solving ability
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload
A proactive, hands-on approach and ability to work independently
Professional and confident when liaising with suppliers
A team player with a collaborative mindset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,610.65 per year
