Subcontract Domestic Gas Engineer

Pay: £30.00–£60.00 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Subcontract Domestic Gas Engineer to undertake boiler servicing, fault finding, and repair work within residential properties.

This is a straightforward engineering role focused on carrying out high-quality gas work. There are no sales targets, upselling requirements, or expectations to generate additional business.

Simply provide your availability and our office team will take care of customer communication, scheduling, and job bookings. You will attend pre-arranged appointments, complete the required work, and ensure all tasks are carried out safely and professionally.

Key Duties

Carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on domestic gas boilers and heating systems.
Identify faults and complete repairs efficiently across a variety of boiler makes and models.
Ensure all work complies with current Gas Safe regulations and industry standards.
Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
Record completed works, findings, and materials used through our job management software.

Essential Requirements

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in domestic boiler servicing and breakdown repairs.
Current ACS qualifications including CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, or equivalent.
Active Gas Safe registration.
Full UK driving licence.
Own van, tools, and calibrated flue gas analyser.
Strong fault-finding ability and excellent communication skills.
Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
