Based in Bolton, we specialize in designing and delivering bespoke AV solutions that empower businesses across the UK to communicate effectively and work efficiently.

We are seeking a Junior AV Installation Engineer to join our expanding team. No prior AV installation experience is needed; we are looking for a candidate with a positive attitude, a passion for technology and a willingness to learn.

Role Overview:

This role provides hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of audio-visual (AV) systems.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers, gain valuable industry knowledge, and assist in AV projects across various sites. They will receive comprehensive training and support/mentoring throughout their development into a confident and capable AV engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

Uphold the AVM values (positivity, empathy, and innovation) and our reputation with clients, partners, and suppliers.
Assist in the installation of AV projects, including projectors, displays, speakers, video conferencing systems, and equipment racks.
Installation and basic programming of AV control systems.
Learn to read and interpret AV schematics and layout drawings.
Assist in first and second fix structured cabling – pulling, terminating, soldering, and testing.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during installation.
Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a professional manner.
Ensure all work meeting industry standards and company quality expectations.
Follow health & safety regulations and company procedures on-site.

Qualifications and Experience:

Full UK driving license.
A real self-starter who actively seeks feedback and applies learnings to improve performance.
Interest in audio visual technology, IT, or electrical engineering.
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Develop positive working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel and occasionally work flexible hours.

Pay: From £25,000.00 per year
