Full job description

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy logistics company as a Bookings Administrator. The role involves supporting the day-to-day administration of transport bookings, customer service, operational support within a fast-paced office environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, hauliers and internal departments to ensure bookings and operational tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 depending on experience

Working Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 , Monday to Friday

Location: NewCold Corby, Curver Way, NN17 5XN

Job Description

Accurately book all inbound deliveries, into correct slots depending on requirements.
Review inbound & outbound arrival times & discuss repeat offenders with higher management and customers.
Accurately check & add any additional charges advised on inbound paperwork.
Assist finance department with general queries on additional charges.
Download and Upload all supporting evidence of non-conformances for Inbound & Outbound loads to the Customer Portal.
Collate, upload & file all inbound paperwork & trip sheets in a timely manner.
Manage and monitor the shared mailbox

Customer Service and Bookings Administration

Monitor incoming emails and ensure all enquiries are responded to or actioned promptly
Support same-day administration tasks, including uploading completed inbound paperwork, contacting late arriving / no showing hauliers to rebook.
Assist with daily administrative duties such as handling emails, speaking with customers/hauliers and forwarding communications to the relevant departments
Provide effective support and communication between the Customer Service team, customers and other departments within the business
Carry out general office administration including answering calls, data entry and filing.
Work with support teams to resolve IT or system-related issues affecting the department
Provide holiday and absence cover where required

Candidate Requirements

Experience within a UK Logistics/Transport setting
Strong IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office and Excel
Ability and willingness to learn new systems and software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail, including good punctuation and reliability

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
