PART-TIME, CASUAL, CATERING & COMMERCIAL ASSISTANT

Casual, part time (hours will vary seasonally)

The North Norfolk Railway operates steam and heritage diesel trains through beautiful coastal countryside between the Georgian town of Holt and the smart Victorian seaside resort of Sheringham. The 5½ mile line attracts around 150,000 passengers each year, is one of the County’s most popular tourist attractions and hosts a series of popular annual events including the Forties Weekend in September and the acclaimed Norfolk Lights Express in November and December.

We are now seeking Catering & Commercial Assistants to join the small and friendly team and help serve in the Station Refreshment Rooms, and assist with on train catering including but not limited to till work, waiting, bar, and kitchen porter duties.

In addition to serving customers in a warm and friendly manner and maintaining a high standard of customer service the successful candidates will be capable of following best practice for food hygiene and ensuring catering areas kept scrupulously clean and tidy.

The varied role could also see them assisting with serving customers in gift shops, at events, driver experiences, and a range of other commercial activities. Own transportation is preferable as successful applicants may be required to work at Sheringham, Weybourne and Holt stations.

Opening times include weekends & holiday periods, so rotas will include some weekend & Bank Holiday working and occasional evenings. Pay will be dependent on age and experience.
