Experienced Accountant (16-Month Fixed Term Contract)

Location: Mid Kent Area – Must be able to drive due to location
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: 16-Month Fixed Term Contract (with potential for permanency)

Trinity Surfacing Ltd is a well-established and rapidly expanding business, recognised as a leader within its sector. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Accountant to join our finance team on a 16-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a successful organisation and play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the business.

Key Responsibilities

As Accountant, your duties will include:

Completing month-end accounting processes
Managing accruals and prepayments
Preparing and submitting monthly VAT returns
Assisting with year-end accounts preparation and audit requirements
Performing bank reconciliations
Maintaining Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger functions
Preparing and submitting CIS returns
Processing payroll, including pensions, wages, journals, and annual P11D submissions
Filling on companies house

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience in a similar accounting role
A strong understanding of accruals and prepayments
Experience preparing and submitting P11D forms
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience using Sage Accounts and/or other accounting software
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Essential Requirements

AAT qualification
Previous experience within the construction industry
Sage Accounts experience preferred
