Looking for immediate start.

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Butcher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and freshness of our meat products while adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.

This job has contracted hours working from Tuesday to Saturday weekly. Hours and pay to be discussed in interview.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cut various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, according to specifications.
Ensure all meat products are handled in compliance with food safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butcher area, including tools and equipment.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages.
Provide exceptional customer service by answering queries regarding meat cuts and preparation methods.
Stay updated on culinary trends related to meat production and preparation.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Butcher or in a similar role within the food production or culinary industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
Proficiency in various cutting techniques and equipment used in meat preparation.
Ability to work effectively with a small team.
Flexibility to work varied shifts as required by the business needs.
