Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Motorsport Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and assembling high-performance racing vehicles, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and performance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced motorsport environment, supporting competitive racing teams and contributing to their success on the track. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a passion for motorsport and technical excellence.

Duties

Interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings to facilitate vehicle assembly and repairs
Conduct routine maintenance on racing vehicles, including inspections and part replacements
Utilise hand tools and power tools to assemble, disassemble, and repair various vehicle components
Perform equipment repairs and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of race cars
Execute welding tasks as required for chassis modifications or repairs
Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle parts and components safely and efficiently
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken
Support the team during race events by preparing vehicles and conducting on-the-spot repairs as needed
Provide excellent customer service by liaising with team members, drivers, and event organisers to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

Proven experience with vehicle assembly, maintenance, or repair within a motorsport or automotive environment
Strong understanding of schematics, mechanical systems, and vehicle diagnostics
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Knowledge of vehicle chassis assembly, suspension systems, and engine components
Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in demanding conditions for extended periods
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team setting
Prior experience in equipment repair and maintenance is highly desirable
