Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Ice Cream Server to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while serving a variety of delicious ice cream treats. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent time management skills, and a welcoming demeanour to ensure our guests enjoy a memorable experience. Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively, fast-paced setting, perfect for individuals who enjoy engaging with customers and showcasing their culinary enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

Serve a wide selection of ice cream flavours and toppings in a courteous and efficient manner
Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards
Assist customers with menu choices and upselling additional products to enhance their experience
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the serving area, adhering to food safety regulations
Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments promptly
Restock supplies and ensure the display area is attractive and inviting
Manage multiple orders during busy periods while maintaining excellent customer service
Uphold health and safety standards at all times, including proper hygiene practices

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, serving, or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders
Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including at least one day at the weekend, evenings

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
