Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated General Building Labourer to join our construction team working on a GII listed building. This role involves supporting various aspects of building projects, ensuring smooth operations on-site. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new skills within the construction industry. This position offers valuable experience across multiple trades and the opportunity to develop a diverse skill set in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Assisting with general site preparation, including clearing debris and organising materials
Supporting carpentry, roofing, masonry, and other trades as required
Handling hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during construction tasks
Assisting with construction painting, plumbing, welding, electrical work, and fabrication tasks under supervision
Moving materials and equipment around the site to facilitate ongoing work
Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed at all times
Maintaining a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency

Requirements

Previous experience or familiarity with construction-related trades such as carpentry, roofing, masonry, or electrical work is advantageous but not essential
Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team
Physically fit with the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods
Willingness to learn new skills across different trades
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Valid UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory
Commitment to health and safety standards on-site

Pay: £100.00 per day
