Join Thirteen as an Apprentice Plasterer

Location: Tees Valley

Salary: £15,434.32 per annum (yearly increments after Year 1). Once qualified, you can expect a salary of £34,777 per year, with opportunities to increase your earnings through overtime and on-call work.

This is an 18 month apprenticeship.

Interview Date: Thursday 30th July 2026 at Stockton Riverside College.

Start Date: Monday 7th September 2026.

As an Apprentice Plasterer, you’ll work alongside experienced plasterers, learning how to carry out repairs, maintenance and finishing work in our homes while completing a structured apprenticeship programme.

About the apprenticeship

Level 2 Plastering qualification
Mix of on-the-job training and college learning
Day release to college (Redcar & Cleveland College)
Apprenticeship start date: Monday 7th September
Supported by experienced mentors throughout.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need experience just the right attitude and motivation:

Interest in construction or practical trade work
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Reliable, hardworking and positive attitude
Good teamwork and communication skills
You’ll have achieved or predicted to achieve a GCSE English Language and Maths at Grade D/3 or above (or equivalent)
Must not already hold a qualification higher than Level 1 in Plastering
Ability to travel to sites and college

Our apprenticeship opportunities are open to anyone aged 16 or over.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be supported throughout your apprenticeship to:

Assist with plastering work across our properties
Learn how to prepare surfaces and carry out repairs and finishing work
Support experienced plasterers on site and gain practical experience
Learn how to safely use tools, equipment and materials
Complete basic tasks and gradually build your technical skills
Keep accurate records of your work and learning
Follow health and safety processes at all times
Take part in training, college learning and team activities

You’ll also learn how to provide a great service to our customers, treating their homes with care and respect.
